Insects Awaken

Insects Awaken is a visual novel/RPG set during the Republic of China era (1912-1949) that offers a unique espionage experience. Players navigate detailed maps of the cities of Chongqing and Shanghai, making choices that shape the storyline while collecting clues and solving puzzles. The game features a day-by-day progression system, with the ability to reset and replay days as needed. The game features four main storylines, eight true endings, and 50 deaths. The story follows a variety of characters, including a Shanghai informant, a captured blind girl, an undercover communist spy, and a daring surgeon, all with interconnected destinies. Adapted from Hai Fei’s novel and written by Tan Dun, the game immerses players in a richly rendered 1940s setting, with a black cat accompanying you to help analyze clues and events. Unlike traditional visual novels, Insects Awaken allows you to become both a witness to history and an active participant in it, capable of changing its course.
