Awita Journey of Hope begins with a girl from a remote village in a forgotten kingdom. A rapidly spreading disease has struck her community, causing the locals to believe that the end is near. In response, a girl named Avita begins a solo journey in search of a cure. She takes up a sword and dons armor, preparing to venture into the unknown lands of her land. Her path leads through a world whose inhabitants are faced with an uncertain future.

The gameplay of Awita Journey of Hope is built on the mechanics of a side-scrolling action game, where sword fighting is the main element. Players will have to traverse a vast kingdom filled with various locations, settlements, and secret stories related to the mythology of this world. Moving around the two-dimensional space will require overcoming platforming sections and searching for secrets. During the exploration, the player will meet new characters and encounter many opponents.

Progress depends on overcoming obstacles and strengthening the heroine's abilities. Fighting and defeating bosses is necessary to advance the plot and open up new regions on the map. As Avita's skills grow, she will be able to enter previously inaccessible areas, which is in line with the concept of a title focused on exploration. This system motivates returning to previously visited places to study them in detail. The narrative unfolds as the girl penetrates deeper into the world, interacting with its inhabitants and discovering local legends.
