Nightmare Shift

Nightmare Shift puts the player in the shoes of Emma, a woman working the night shift at a secluded motel. Her work duties intertwine with the events in her apartment, creating two interconnected environments. The protagonist feels like she is being watched both at work and in her personal life. Conversations with motel guests create situations that shake Emma's perception of reality.

The game itself requires maintaining a familiar routine while simultaneously confronting these anomalies. Nightmare Shift gameplay focuses on guiding Emma through her work and home life. This established routine serves as the basis for phenomena that hint at the existence of a hidden side of reality. You will encounter characters with unclear motives, where each conversation can influence further conclusions. The main investigation consists of exploring the motel and apartment in order to uncover the root cause of what is happening.

The decisions made in dialogues and actions directly affect the development of the plot, which leads to several possible endings of the main mystery. The fundamental conflict for the heroine is the distinction between objective reality and the creations of her own consciousness. The gameplay is designed in such a way that it is necessary to collect together fragments of information obtained during the study of locations and communication in order to create a complete picture of Emma's situation.
