Reclaim The Sea is a roguelike strategy adventure that casts you as a pirate captain navigating the treacherous waters of a fantasy naval world. Your mission is simple and challenging at the same time: lead your crew through dangerous seas while keeping your ship afloat and ultimately save the world from an unknown threat.

The game centers on tactical ship-to-ship combat, where you command your crew to perform various tasks such as weapon handling, piloting, boarding enemy ships, and emergency repairs. Combat offers several strategic approaches — you can target your enemy’s firepower or mobility, focus on eliminating their crew, or overwhelm them with sustained long-range fire. Each encounter will present you with a moral choice that will determine your pirate reputation: will you protect innocent merchants or exploit their vulnerability for your own gain.

Resource management is critical as you spend gold to upgrade gear, new crew members, and ship upgrades, including weapons, gadgets, and unique figurines that create powerful synergies. The roguelike structure ensures that each playthrough is fresh, with randomly generated maps, encounters, and ship configurations across different regions. Navigational decisions matter: choosing between finding allies or confronting, risk versus reward, and deciding when to push forward or retreat to resupply all impact your path to the final boss encounter.
