Mashina immerses the player in a single-player adventure, where he controls a robot with a mission to restore his home world. The basis of this project is the methodical exploration of the subsoil to collect valuable materials necessary for the survival of the entire settlement. All found fossils are then used to help the community of other mechanisms, contributing to the gradual revival of their destroyed home.

Thus, the gamer becomes a central figure in the restoration process, and his actions directly affect the development and well-being of the mechanical community. This cycle of extraction and creation forms the core of the entire title. The main part of the gameplay of Mashina unfolds in branched and mysterious underground tunnels. With the help of a special radar, the character discovers resource deposits, after which he makes a path through the thickness of the rock to get to them.

All the loot is carefully stored and transferred to the operational base, which serves as a center for processing minerals and creating useful devices. On this base, you can construct equipment that facilitates further excavations and allows you to penetrate previously inaccessible areas. In the depths, you can also meet lost robots and search for unique artifacts that reveal the history of this world. The resources found in the mines are directly used on the surface, which is the center of social life of the local settlement. Here, the protagonist communicates with the inhabitants, receiving new tasks from them, for the completion of which materials from the dungeons are required.
