Описание
Book Shooter invites you to enter a magical tome, moving into a fantasy world. Legendary works serve as vessels for consciousness, including the Bible, works on higher mathematics, and A Brief History of Time, each of which has combat capabilities. The key game objective is based on survival among waves of enemies in conditions that combine the mechanics of tower defense, roguelike, and a top-down shooter.
In this universe, the living tome will have to confront many hostile forces seeking to destroy it in intense bullet-hell shootouts. In a mysterious forbidden zone, the player awakens in the form of a book, under constant threat from gods seeking to absorb him. To resist these entities, he masters magic, opening the pages of the selected tome, defeating the deities and absorbing their forbidden power. The Book Shooter project allows you to flexibly customize your strategy, freely combining different books, title pages, and specializations called colleges and concentrations.
This system opens up a variety of tactical approaches to survival in the face of a constant divine threat. The game offers progressively more difficult challenges, introducing a growing variety of enemies, defeating which brings various rewards. Powerful enemies block the path forward, leading to a final battle with the main boss. Destroying this final enemy leads to the acquisition of mysterious items and a resource called ink. Collecting these materials opens access to the Elemental Academy, marking a new stage in the development of the gamer's abilities.
