City Defense Z is a cycle where daylight hours are reserved for strategic expansion and fortification using a card system. Players must build their city and manage resources before nightfall brings waves of zombies. The main goal is to survive against the ever-increasing hordes attacking the created base. Each attempt is a new run, and over time, permanent meta-improvements are unlocked that affect future outcomes. This structure combines city building with tactical defense in a roguelike format, forcing you to adapt with each playthrough.

About This Game
During daylight hours, the focus is on collecting materials, expanding the perimeter of the city, and optimizing defensive schemes. The placement of units and mines on the grid directly affects the battlefield before the upcoming assault. When darkness falls in City Defense Z, the fortifications built during the day are tested by the onslaught of merciless zombies. To counter each new threat, timely activation of air support and quick tactical decisions are necessary, because each subsequent night brings more and more serious challenges.
The economy of the base depends on various buildings that generate one of 5 interconnected resources that require manual collection. Placing 3 identical buildings of the same level next to each other triggers an automatic merger, creating an improved version of them. Factories produce building materials, armories supply ammunition, and barracks prepare soldiers for battle. A community of 8 unique characters adds another strategic layer to the gameplay, influencing the management of the city and its population through their special abilities.
