Liegecraft is a hybrid of grand strategy and role-playing games, where kingdom expansion depends directly on complex interactions with subordinates. The supreme ruler is constantly forced to balance rewarding loyal subjects and punishing disobedient ones. The distribution of lands, titles, and powers becomes the primary instrument of influence, shaping a complex political map within the state. Each vassal has a unique character, ambitions, and weaknesses that can conflict with the monarch's strategic goals. Any mistake in personnel management or neglect of the personal aspirations of the nobility can provoke civil strife and lead the kingdom to collapse.

About This Game

The management process is not limited solely to the strategic map. In Liegecraft, the ruler can personally lead an army or take direct command of any of their lords, embarking on missions. Nation development involves developing provinces and researching technologies that unlock new units and buildings. When diplomatic methods fail, large-scale battles with castle sieges or personal duels to resolve disputes between aristocrats are resorted to. Capturing new regions not only provides a tactical advantage but also satisfies the greed of one's subjects.
