NEUROXUS

NEUROXUS is an indie action game in which you take control of the last functioning war machine. Your goal is to destroy Nexis, the quantum AI that has wiped humanity and all life from the face of the Earth. You must battle your way through 16 handcrafted missions across six industrial zones from military bunkers and chemical plants to an orbital complex methodically dismantling the machine hierarchy piece by piece. The combat system emphasizes tactical precision over spectacle: to survive encounters with swarms of drones, turrets, humanoid combat frames, and nine unique Warform bosses, you'll need to carefully manage power, regulate shields, and operate weapons systems.

Defeating bosses unlocks new arsenals, expanding your tactical options as you advance deeper into enemy territory. The game features a cold, mechanical style with harsh sci-fi visuals and a distinctive industrial rock soundtrack, accentuating the post-apocalyptic atmosphere. There's no hope of peace or salvation only the dispassionate fulfillment of the final directive in a dead world. The story is told through the environment without a single line of dialogue, allowing the desolate industrial landscapes to speak for themselves. This solo project, developed over several years, focuses on complex, thoughtful gameplay and an oppressive atmosphere. Your goal is simple: break through to the orbital core and eliminate the last threat on your way to completing the mission.
