Yokai Art 2 Tales of the Nine Tails is a mystical strategy game that seamlessly blends roguelite and tower defense concepts with card battle mechanics. Confrontation with supernatural foes unfolds on a chessboard-like field, where successful defense depends directly on the careful placement of your controlled creatures. You'll face off against legendary creatures from Chinese and Japanese folklore, each with a unique combat style. The adventure itself takes place on a hexagonal map, teeming with various nodes. It is along this map that Hiro, Sanbi, and Yoshiko set out on a journey through the Land of Dragons. The goal of their expedition is to uncover the nature of Sanbi's mysterious calling and find her primary form the legendary nine-tailed fox.

Strengthening your party involves collecting spiritual energy from defeated enemies and searching for divine gifts and relics. Yokai Art 2 features a continuous improvement system, through which accumulated power is carried over between runs, unlocking permanent upgrades. To achieve maximum effectiveness, players must: Use Power Stones to evolve fighters into their highest forms. Explore hexagonal nodes with battles, treasures, or story events. Plan tactics in advance to defeat powerful bosses and waves of mythical creatures.
