Ledgerbound

Saving the world is important, but the paperwork behind it matters more. Ledgerbound is a comedic tactical RPG and dating sim from OmniMegaSuperCorp, where the noblest hero in the fantasy world turns out to be an insurance adjuster. The genre has never been this organized.

The premise does the heavy lifting with a straight face. When an ancient enemy cuts down the world greatest heroes, your company is suddenly on the hook for their life insurance claims. Unless, of course, you can defeat the enemy yourself and prove those legends were simply underprepared. Claim denied, baby. That is the mission that pulls you away from a cushy desk and onto the battlefield, and the stakes only look ridiculous until the first ambush hits.

The gameplay mixes turn based tactical battles with the absurd duties of office life. You battle evil enemies, fill out paperwork, rescue the company from financial ruin and pursue HR approved relationships, all inside one campaign. The developers frame the whole thing around quest life balance, and the joke lands because the systems actually support it. Dialogue stays punchy, the comedy comes from character rather than references, and the conversations can turn grounded and meaningful when the story needs them to.

As a dating sim, the project keeps its romance options inside the same workplace logic, which gives every relationship thread its own flavor of awkward. As a tactical RPG, it asks you to think several moves ahead while the narrative keeps laughing at you for doing so. The two halves feed each other constantly.

OmniMegaSuperCorp aims the game at players who enjoy narrative driven strategy with a sense of humor, where the fate of the realm and the fate of the quarterly report sit on the same desk. Priorities, as the adjusters say, are everything.
