Rage Bait

Failure is the point of Rage Bait, a meta comedy walking simulator created by Caffeineline. The game lasts only forty five to sixty minutes, but every minute is designed to make the player mess up. A narrator watches from the side, mocks each mistake and changes the rules on the fly. The result is a short trip into classic rage game territory with a modern sense of humor.

The controls are simple: clicking, walking and jumping. That simplicity is a trap. The game breaks its own rules, hides objects in plain sight and sends the player into situations that end badly on purpose. Puzzles and skill checks test patience, and the fourth wall breaks early. Even the tutorial trolls the player, and nothing in the instructions can be trusted fully.

The narrator is the main character. He reacts to timing, choices and small errors with jokes and taunts, and he never stops judging. The tone stays comedic even when the game cheats, because every failure turns into a gag. Players who rage quit are the audience the narrator wants, and the game knows it. Being tricked is part of the charm, not a bug.

Choices lead in different directions. Branching decisions produce wildly different outcomes, and secrets wait for players who fail in the right way. Multiple endings reward those who replay the short adventure again and again. Completionists can stretch the total playtime far beyond the first run, and each attempt brings a new set of jokes and surprises.

Under the jokes sits a real walking simulator. The story moves forward through exploration, light puzzles and skill checks, while the rage game heritage brings the cruelty and the comedy keeps it light. Rage Bait released on Steam in August 2026 with full English audio, and it stays an easy pick for an evening of intentional frustration.
