Persona 4 Golden — this is the same Persona 4, a role-playing game of 2008, updated in accordance with the trends of the time. The main character, an unnamed schoolboy who had just moved to live in his uncle’s provincial town of Inaba, unwittingly finds himself involved in the investigation of a series of mysterious murders that shocked local residents. The main task is obvious from the very beginning: you need to figure out the offender and stop him. Of course, in the best traditions of Japanese RPGs, everything will be more confusing than you might have expected, and the finale will certainly bring some surprises.

About This Game

To succeed in the investigation of the killings, the player will have to pay equal attention to the «social» and combat aspects of the game. Every day, our hero goes to school, communicates with friends, works as an English tutor and cleaner in a hospital, or simply goes to the movies. Each of the acquaintances that he will make in Inaba is presented in the form of a social link, a special connection with a particular character, which, with due diligence on the part of the player, will grow and develop. Connections are important for two reasons.

Firstly, almost all the characters inhabiting Inaba are bright, interesting personalities who have something to tell and share with the main character. Communicating with them is a completely separate pleasure and, perhaps, the most fascinating thing in the game. Compared to the original Persona 4, the number of connections has increased quite slightly from 20 to 22, and this is a little disappointing. However, interesting and informative conversations are only part of social ties.
